Shingles occur in people that have had the Chicken Pox at some point in their life. Shingles/chicken pos/certain cold sores are all the herpes virus. Shingles occur when the body comes under stress....either physically or emotional stress. It is airborne. You should stay away from the general public since it is very catchy to those who have NOT had the chicken pox or women that are pregnant. You are no longer considered contagious once all the lesions have crusted over. Beware...this is a very painful condition and you need special meds that work on nerve pain such as Lyrica or Neurontin. Regular pain medicine usually does not work as well. Get to your doctor.
